With the joint organization of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, the training program "Measures to combat bee diseases and pests, bee breeding" held at the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry on October 11-15, 2021 has ended. .
The 5-day trainings were conducted by experts invited from the Republic of Turkey. It was passed by Ali Korkmaz, veterinarian Sedat Sevin, our local professional beekeepers Elkhan Alakbarov, Yusif Guliyev, Movladdin Gurbanaliyev, Latif Latifov, Hikmat Aliyev, Ilham Rahimov, Nabi Najafov, Nuraddin Sarukhanov. They shared their knowledge and experience with the training participants. Within the framework of the training program, the current state of beekeeping, measures to combat and prevent bee diseases and pests, feeding and proper care of bees, bee breeding, etc. rich presentation materials were shown on about 20 topics covering directions, speeches were made with extensive reports. During all the training days, after the lectures, a wide discussion was held with the beekeepers, the unclear points were clarified for them, and the questions they were interested in were answered in detail. As part of the training, the trainers and training participants also visited the "Beekeeping" Center of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, inspected the apiary, lavender and rosemary fields there, and were informed about the center's activities and future plans.
At the closing ceremony of the training, Eldar Hasanov, head of the "Livestock organization and monitoring" department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mahir Hajiyev, director of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, Samir Mahmudov, director of the "Beekeeping" Center of the institute, Elkhan Alakbarov, chairman of the Professional Beekeepers Union, Hakan, employees of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey Ülgey and Cengiz Ceylan delivered the closing speech. Opinions of beekeepers were heard about the training program. Later, the appeal of the beekeepers to the Minister of Agriculture Mr. Inam Karimov was voiced. At the end, the awarding ceremony of the training participants was held.
