On May 29, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, and the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization jointly organized a scientific-practical conference on "Adapting Local Livestock Products to International Standards: Production and Export."
During the conference, Mahir Hacıyev, the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, emphasized the crucial importance of standards in agriculture, particularly in animal husbandry. He highlighted that these standards regulate hygiene, nutrition, genetic factors, and environmental conditions throughout the production process, ensuring both animal health and economic efficiency. He noted that many farms are already implementing standards developed by the institute.
Kamil Fətəliyev, the director of the Institute of Agromechanics, underscored the necessity and significance of the conference, praising the achievements of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry in this field. He emphasized that every success in this area contributes to the advancement of Azerbaijani science, which is a source of pride for all.
Bayram Əliyev, director of the Agricultural and Food Industry Standardization Department at the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization, spoke about the importance of standardization in animal husbandry. Habil Hümbətov, director of the Products and Services Certification Department at the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization, outlined the institute's activities in certification. Yasin Gözəlov, director of the "Science" department at the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, presented on the technical committee's work on standardization in animal husbandry.
The conference concluded with a Q&A session, addressing queries from participants and fostering a discussion on the topic. Participants also toured the laboratories and animal husbandry complexes affiliated with the institute.
