Yasin Gozalov continued the methodological training on “Methods for Conducting Scientific Research in Animal Husbandry” for Guleser Gasimova, a senior researcher at the Academic Hasan Aliyev Agricultural Scientific Research Institute of the Nakhchivan Ministry of Agriculture.
On the second day of the training program, topics such as “Selection and Breeding Works in Scientific Research, Preparation of Programs, and Bonituring Guidelines, Calculation of Biometric and Economic Efficiency” were discussed. The importance of biometric studies and the calculation of economic efficiency in scientific research was explained. The necessity of scientific staff's participation in training sessions was clarified.
On May 14, Guleser Gasimova also participated in a meeting dedicated to the presentation of “Breeding Programs in Poultry Prepared by Czech Experts” conducted by Milan Tyller from the Czech Republic.
A review was conducted of the scientific research objects at the Institute’s Auxiliary Experimental Farm, including the phenotypic evaluation of crossbred calves obtained from large and small ruminant crossbreeding. The scientific methods used in creating a new rabbit breed by using different breeds, interspecific hybridization, and blood crossbreeding in the rabbit breeding farm were explained.
The conditions created for the study of the effects of different mulberry silkworm breeds and newly created hybrids on productivity and development were reviewed and discussed.
On the third day of the training program, a meeting was held in the “Science Department” related to “Documenting and Preparing Materials in Scientific Research”. The rules for preparing documents such as the “Institute's Activity Plan”, “Institute's Event Plan”, “Theme Plan”, “Methodology”, “Work and Calendar Plan”, “Reports”, “Regulations of the Science Department”, “Regulations of the Scientific Technical Council”, “Protocols”, “Protocol Extracts” and others were explained.
A visit was made to the personal farm of Mubariz Aliyev in the village of Mollajalilli, Goygol district, to familiarize with the scientific research work aimed at improving local cattle. The third and fourth-generation calves obtained by using the semen of Simmental bulls were inspected, and the technology for intensively raising and fattening male calves was explained.
Guleser Gasimova directly participated in milk analysis, egg quality analysis, and artificial insemination of queen bees, and got acquainted with the feed base.
Guleser Gasimova was presented with the book “Methodological Guide for Conducting Scientific Research in Animal Husbandry”, the Institute’s “Journal of Agricultural Scientific Research”, other books, recommendations, bonituring guidelines, and brochures.
