The first Agrarian Innovation Festival of this year was held in Agdash district under the organization of the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. Farmers of the Central Aran economic region and surrounding regions participated in the festival held in the territory of "Aghdash Feed Factory".
Speaking at the event, Rafail Guliyev, the chief of staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, officials of the executive authorities of Agdash and surrounding regions spoke about the importance of such festivals organized in the regions. Anar Jafarov, director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, presented the "Agroinnofest" project and gave detailed information about the festival.
More than 10 subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as more than 50 local and foreign companies participated in the festival. At the festival, various agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles, innovative irrigation technologies, alternative energy sources, new technologies applied in cotton cultivation, planting materials obtained on the basis of modern technologies, plant protection tools, samples of fruits and vegetables grown with new methods, feed with high nutritional value plants as well as plant seed samples were demonstrated. At the event, various fertilizers and pesticides, equipment and aggregates, which play an important role in increasing productivity, were demonstrated, trainings on advanced agricultural practices, and information sessions on priority directions aimed at the development of agriculture were held. Thus, the specialists of the Plant Protection and Fumigation Center of the Agrarian Services Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture informed the farmers about "Complex measures to prevent the spread of the brown marble weevil, which is considered dangerous for agricultural plants and natural flora" and "Measures to fight against mouse-like rodents" . At the same time, trainings were held on the topics of "Technologies applied in agriculture and support to farmers", "Agrotechnical maintenance work on grain crops in the optimal period", "Preparation of fodder for animals using a simple method", "New milking technologies", "Innovative irrigation technologies".
Innovative innovations in the field of animal husbandry were also exhibited at the festival. Hybrids born through artificial insemination and embryo transfer were demonstrated by the Artificial Insemination Center. Also, during the festival, a mobile veterinary service was provided by the experts of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Research Institutes. According to the request, the farm in the village of Leki of Agdash district was inspected and necessary measures were taken. During the festival, participants of a number of start-up competitions organized and initiated by the Agrarian Innovation Center, as well as higher education institutions, demonstrated their products, solutions, and inventions.
