An interactive seminar on "Modern farm model" was held at the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry under the joint organization of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, "DeLaval" company and "4S" LLC. At the event, the director of the institute, Mahir Hajiyev, noted that as a result of the large-scale reforms implemented in the Republic of Azerbaijan, significant progress has been achieved in all areas of the agricultural sector, the production volume of various types of agricultural products, including animal products, has increased, and the level of self-sufficiency in most products has been maintained while maintaining the dynamics of growth in domestic production. has risen. However, currently, the amount of animal products produced in the country is not enough to fully meet the domestic demand. In the past years, the field of animal husbandry has been developed mainly in an extensive way, in the feeding of animals, priority has been given to more pastures and pastures, in other words, natural feeding. Such economic activity had a negative impact on increasing the productivity in the field and the effective organization of breeding work, caused the reduction of animal breeds and the decrease of their genetic potential. Currently, there is a need to expand the application of the intensive farm model in order to increase the productivity of animals, to establish feeding and storage conditions at the level of modern requirements, and to improve breeding work and increase the number of breeding animals in order to improve the breed composition of animals.
Speaking at the event, Agshin Agayev, technical director of "4S" LLC, Orkhan Ahmadov, representative of Goygol region of KOBIA, said in their speeches that such interactive trainings are very important in learning and applying international experience to the problems faced by farmers in their farms.
Then the experts invited from the Russian Federation - Alexey Lyubayev, the leading manager of DeLaval company, consultant, and Aleksandr Bezmelnitsin, the company's regional sales manager for related products, discussed the current state of dairy farming, the main problems faced by farmers and entrepreneurs, the ideal model of a modern farm, the milking process and protocols, milking methods and equipment, application of innovative technologies to this segment and its advantages, problems caused by improper milking procedure and their solutions, made rich presentations and reports.
DAIM representatives of different regions, veterinarians, zootechnicians, farmers and entrepreneurs took part in the event. The seminar was held in interactive form, active discussion and question-and-answer.
