The "Feed calculator" mobile application was developed by the Azerbaijan Technical University and the Livestock Organization and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program UnICLAD (https://uniclad.net/) project with the financial support of the European Union. The feed calculator is based on the methodology of feeding agricultural animals according to zootechnical norms. The development of the mobile application was supported by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, a local partner of the UniCLAD project.
The purpose of developing the mobile application of "Feed calculator" is to support farmers operating in the field of animal husbandry, to contribute to the protection of food security by achieving high productivity and economic efficiency.
Taking into account that feeding is one of the main segments in the development of the livestock sector, the preparation of the correct feed racino, the implementation of balanced and nutritious feeding, as well as the determination of the arable area for each head and the protein-energy balance in the formation of the feed base are among the main and important conditions.
The use of the presented "Feed calculator" mobile application will become a flexible and useful information resource, accessible to farmers.
