Trial planting by FAO in the auxiliary experimental farm of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry
In order to enrich the fodder base of animals with alternative fodder sources, trial planting of the following plants was carried out in the agricultural area of the auxiliary experimental farm of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry.
1. Alfalfa - dense-leaved productive clover varieties, green mass 600-800 centners per ha
2. Barley - ramata, low-yielding barley varieties, in our conditions 40-50 centners per ha
3. Maize - FAO 700 variety, 50-60 centners per ha, 150 centners for green fodder
4. Soya - yields about 30 centners of grain per 1 ha
5. Ryegrass - it is also called Italian grass, it is high-yielding, it gives 150 centners of green grass, it is mowed 2-3 times under irrigation conditions.
Planting of the above-mentioned plants in order to improve the fodder base of animal husbandry and at the same time to provide animals with quality feed, as well as to improve the quantity and quality of the products obtained from them, the above-mentioned seeds were sown in accordance with the agro-technical rules in the current year for the purpose of testing, and the potential possibilities of these varieties, It is planned to expand the planting area of these plants in the field of auxiliary teaching practice in the western region.
