New selection works are being carried out in the laboratory "Mulberry silkworm selection" of the Scientific Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, where more than 60 breeds are preserved in the gene pool. Last year, scientists who created 2 new mulberry silkworm hybrids and breeds sent them to the variety testing station for approval. Currently, selection works are being carried out on new breeds imported from abroad. Within the framework of the cooperation agreement concluded between the Animal Husbandry and Agro-Mechanical Scientific Research Institutes, a new incubation facility for the new mulberry silkworm was created and the facility is currently being tested by the laboratory.
